I noticed that I had several visitors as a result of Jim Lyons' post about Blog2Print, "a book-printing widget for creating hard copy books from blogs" from SharedBook. So I spent some time at Jim's blog and will be going back. But for now, I wanted to let you know what I found out about Blog2Print.
This is NOT for you if you're wanting to create a blook. But it IS for you if you're interested in making money off your blog. Similar to PrintMyBlog, it's geared to your readers.
What SharedBook does is give you a button to place on your Blogger blog. [That's the only input currently supported] When your reader pushes the button, they are given several options to create a blook of your blog: include All Posts or specify a date-range; order of posts - oldest first or newest first; browse for a cover image; and a choice of three introductory texts or they can write their own. Once the blook is created, they also have the option of personalizing it. How, I don't know. The link wasn't working.*
There's a pretty spiffy Test Drive you can take. I did. For the blook I created from Blooking Central (all posts), the cost would be $34.95 hardcover, $29.95 softcover. Price escalates with the number of pages up to 200 which is the maximum. I'd make 20% of the sales of books sold from my blog.
Here's an incentive:
"The first 100 bloggers to add the Blog2Print widget to their blogs will receive a FREE 20-page hard cover book, valued at $24.95. If you are one of the first 100 to place the Blog2Print widget on your blog, we will email you a coupon valued at $24.95 to use at checkout. Offer good through July 31, 2007."

* UPDATE: The Blog2Print Personalize link is now working. This is how you can personalize your blook:
"Add photos. Add stories. Invite others to contribute photos and stories as well. Create your own Book with the photos, comments and stories that you choose."
By the way, since I've added content since my test drive, the price of this blog is now $48.95 (Hardcover); $38.95 (Softcover)
